Description Christian Parpart (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-01-12 00:09:39 UTC
hi,

I just noticed that at least --deep is not mentions in neither "emerge --help" nor in the
man page.... this is fatal, how can I know what features emerge has when it isn't
documented?
Sorry, python and perl are not my favorite languages, otherwise I'd take a look into and
contribute myself to portage (emerge)....

p.s.: did anyone think about implementing emerge as native C(++) application. This
surely would improve performance overall ;)

However, good wor guys ;)
Christian Parpart.

we arent moving to C++ so dont bother pondering ;)

--deep is in --help ... at least in the newer versions ... it wasnt in the older ones because it
wasnt meant for end users to utilize it ...

as for manpages, there are other bugs for updating so ill do it with those
