Hi, it seems bugzilla doesn't do a word wrap when someone posts a comment while he isn't logged in (cookies disabled). To proove that I write this bug whith cookies disabled, so this comment should be a single long line. I'm not shure if this is the only case, when posts aren't word wrapped. I'm using konqueror 3.04. Regards, Alexander
This is a bug with konqueror, and they are aware of this. You say that it does wrap when you have cookies enabled and you are logged in? Cheers, //zhen
I thought so. So this is the test. feg gfd fdg fdg dfg fdg fdg fdg fdg dfg fdgdf gdf gfdg fdg fdg fdg fdg fdg fd gfdg fdg fdg fdg fdg fd gfd gfd gfd gfd gfd gfd gfd gfd gfd gfd gsdf gfd Regards, Alexander
Because that works, I think bugzilla (or Konqueror) doesn't wrap or is loosing the cr's when he's forwarding the posting (comment) to the part which asks for user/password. Regards, Alexander
Interesting, I will have too look into this more. I thought that Konqueror did not wrap *at all*.
I just thought that I would note that this is in bugzilla's bug database as bug 11901.
I am logged in and am experiencing the non-wrap problem in comments I post to bug with Mozilla on both Linux and Windows. If this comment does wrap I guess that means that being logged in is the issue. I just posted a comment without being logged in and the lines did not wrap. I noticed that all comments are inside <pre></pre> blocks so it should preserve whatever formatting the browser sends in.
Yeah, no wrap. The lack of wrapping appeared with the bugzilla upgrade, FYI.
I can confirm, this is a problem I've just noticed with the new bugzilla. I am logged in when I post, so that is not the problem. Some comments are wrapped, others are not, with the majority being non-wrapped (for new comments.)
I know - this is a problem with the underlying code in bugzilla. Please see the above bug (bugzilla bug 11901). I am waiting for a patch on this. Until then, I will try and fix this with css... (or anything for that matter)
I think you meant: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11901 Instead of: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11901 :)
Bah for bugzilla automation - I put in the bug #, and it modifies it for me ;-)
As this is a bugzilla bug that is not fixable by gentoo, I am closing this.
