Thanks

Bump all the way to 1.0.6.9 now, which will allow TeXmacs to work with the latest versions of Maxima that are already in the portage tree.
Comment 3 Andrey Grozin gentoo-dev 2007-11-07 04:58:08 UTC
texmacs-1.0.6.12 ebuild is in the science overlay. It allows to run the current version of maxima, and contains innumerable improvements as compared to the very old version in the main portage tree. So, please, use the science overlay.
Isn't it time to move this (much improved) ebuild to the main tree?
Comment 4 Jouni Kosonen 2008-01-15 18:58:21 UTC
texmacs-1.0.6.12 also gets along with the current stable dev-scheme/guile-1.8.2 unlike the 1.0.6-r1 version currently in the portage tree. In fact, this was blocking guile-1.8* stabilization (see #163921) until they got tired of waiting after nine months...

Proposed ebuild attached to bug #163907

texmacs-1.0.6.14 is now in the tree
