Description Mike Hammill 2006-06-20 08:26:50 UTC
Running on an otherwise stable (i.e., non-tilde-x86) gentoo PIII machine, I recently updated to the new stable 2.6.17-gentoo kernel and gave openafs-kernel 1.4.1 and openafs 1.4.1-r1 a go. Both emerge without problem. Also, I have been using AFS files without problems since the emerge (about two days) so it seems to work too! However, dmesg gives:

openafs: module license 'http://www.openafs.org/dl/license10.html' taints kernel

Thought this should be reported. Not clear if I should be scared....

Not a bug. You might ask upstream to re-license under GPL if you are afraid. :)
