Description Martin Klebermass 2003-01-11 13:34:58 UTC
while installing on a new system latex, i had problems using tools like
pdflatex, saying pdflatex.fmt file cant be find. After a search if found out
normaly fmtutil is used to create this files. My Problem is that fmtutil says
the latex source files are older than one year. Setting time back some month it
works. Seems that there some latex sources have to be updated so that the tool
still works.

When did you emerge tetex? I added a correction for this problem some weeks
ago; could you check to see if the tetex ebuild used (in
/var/db/pkg/app-text/tetex-1.07-r11/) had lines 60-66 commented or not?

they are commented. I merged latex yesterday. The rsync was done on Jannuary the 2nd.

Rsync again and re-emerge tetex. That should fix the issues. It's a stopgap
solution until tetex-2.0 comes out, which should be sometime before the end of
January.
