After installing www-apps/websvn-2.0_rc1 I would get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function xml_parser_create() in /vault/www/localhost/htdocs/websvn/include/svnlook.inc on line 644

If I tried to view my repository.

Then I emerged: dev-php/PEAR-XML_Parser-1.2.7, restarted apache2, and now websvn works as expected.
