Otherwise known as 1.3_pre7, which isn't really alpha at all

Anyway, this patch is an updated version of one I found on sourceforge, to port the scaling functionality of the windows client to the unix client.

This adds two command-line parameters: scale_num and scale_den for numerator/denominator. Very simple. Works for me. YMMV.
