I clean-installed 1.4_rc2 with GRP-liveCD. I tried pentium3 and cerlon(with i686-CD) machine. In both 2 cases, GRP install for "gnome-list.txt" is stopped. ----------------------------------------------------- LOG start (execution "sh grp-install.sh gnome-list.txt" ... ) >>> /usr/share/sgml/docbook/sgml-dtd-3.1/catalog >>> /usr/share/sgml/docbook/sgml-dtd-3.1/dbpool.mod install-catalog: addition of /usr/share/sgml/docbook/sgml-dtd-3.1/catalog in /etc/sgml/sgml-docbook-3.1.cat install-catalog: addition of /etc/sgml/sgml-docbook-3.1.cat in /etc/sgml/catalog install-catalog: addition of /etc/sgml/sgml-docbook.cat in /etc/sgml/sgml-docbook-3.1.cat >>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache... >>> app-text/docbook-sgml-dtd-3.1 merged. !!! doebuild: /usr/portage/app-text/docbook-sgml-dtd/docbook-sgml-dtd-3.1.ebuild not found. >>> Updating world >>> Adding gnome-base/gnome Binary pkg installation completed cdimage GRP # ----------------------------------------------------- LOG end The package "app-text/docbook-sgml-dtd-3.1" seemed to be installed. Then I copied gnome-list.txt, delete till that package line, "sh grp-insall.sh <newfile>", and installation continued. This failure occured too at packages: app-text/docbook-sgml-dtd-3.0 app-text/docbook-sgml-dtd-4.0 app-text/docbook-sgml-dtd-4.1 gnome-base/gdm-2.4.0.12 media-sound/sox-12.17.3-r2
Nick, I'm assigning this one to you since the planned fix for grp-install.sh is to eliminate the need for it by making sure that --usepkgonly does the right thing and emerge can handle these things directly.
This bug has been inactive for more than 180 days. Reproducing it would be difficult, at least for me. Any comments? I'm changing it to resolved - TEST-REQUEST
i'm pretty sure the cmdline opts still are 'broken'
what commandline options and how are they broken ? (sorry if I'm missing the obvious)
-K should work fine except in the case of weird dynamic slots.

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
