Description takken 2006-06-15 01:59:47 UTC
The KDE 3.5.3 split ebuilds appear to contain a bug that causes files with '.tif' filename extension to be identified as being images in RAW format rather than TIFF. KDE folks say it is a gentoo bug:

We do not apply custom patches, aside of security and compatibility issues. I also can't reproduce your problem. I guess you played too much with the file association dialog within the control center. Try, if deleting ~.kde/share/mimelnk helps.
Comment 2 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-03-16 01:11:07 UTC
Cannot reproduce either, closing.
