Hi, If this is a dupplication, I appologize in advance. For some reason, I can't emerge mozilla r4 on both of my pentium 2. These info are from the last build: This is the error, the first ocurrence: distcc gcc -o Linux2.4_x86_glibc_PTH_OPT.OBJ/softkver.o -c -O2 -fPIC -DLINUX1_2 -Di386 -D_XOPEN_SOURCE -DLINUX2_1 -ansi -pipe -DLINUX -Dlinux -D_POSIX_SOURCE -D_BSD_SOURCE -DHAVE_STRERROR -DXP_UNIX -DSHLIB_SUFFIX=\"so\" -UDEBUG -DNDEBUG -D_REENTRANT -I/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/dist/include -I../../../../dist/public/nss -I../../../../dist/private/nss -I../../../../dist/include -I/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/dist/include/nspr -I/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/dist/include/dbm -I../../../../dist/public/dbm softkver.c softkver.c:50: parse error before "NSS_VERSION" softkver.c:52: parse error before "NSS_VERSION" make[4]: *** [Linux2.4_x86_glibc_PTH_OPT.OBJ/softkver.o] Error 1 make[4]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/security/nss/lib/softoken' make[4]: Entering directory `/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/security/nss/lib/softoken' distcc gcc -o Linux2.4_x86_glibc_PTH_OPT.OBJ/softkver.o -c -O2 -fPIC -DLINUX1_2 -Di386 -D_XOPEN_SOURCE -DLINUX2_1 -ansi -pipe -DLINUX -Dlinux -D_POSIX_SOURCE -D_BSD_SOURCE -DHAVE_STRERROR -DXP_UNIX -DSHLIB_SUFFIX=\"so\" -UDEBUG -DNDEBUG -D_REENTRANT -I/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/dist/include -I../../../../dist/public/nss -I../../../../dist/private/nss -I../../../../dist/include -I/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/dist/include/nspr -I/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/dist/include/dbm -I../../../../dist/public/dbm softkver.c And this is the last one: In file included from fortpk11.c:55: ../../../../dist/public/nss/pk11func.h:419: parse error before '*' token make[4]: *** [Linux2.4_x86_glibc_PTH_OPT.OBJ/fortpk11.o] Error 1 make[4]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/security/nss/lib/fortcrypt' Fri Jan 10 05:18:51 PST 2003 make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/security/nss/lib' ../../config/nsinstall -R -m 755 ../../dist/lib/libnssckbi.so ../../dist/bin ../../config/nsinstall -R -m 755 ../../dist/lib/libsoftokn3.so ../../dist/bin ../../config/nsinstall: cannot access ../../dist/lib/libsoftokn3.so: No such file or directory make[2]: *** [libs] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla/security/manager' make[1]: *** [tier_95] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/mozilla-1.2.1-r4/work/mozilla' make: *** [default] Error 2 !!! This is the 4th time it failed that I saved the outputs. I now have tried on 2 different systems with similar results. These errors happened before and after I tried emerge -u world. Now, both machine are almost the same. I haven't tried emerge -e world.
Try to change -march to the more generic one maybe ? i686 for example ..
seems to be fixed in never version (mozilla, glibc, gcc)
