Description Jason Wever (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-12 08:46:46 UTC
Since a bugzilla upgrade or two ago, the "Status" section under the "Advanced Search" tab on the "Search" page no longer auto-selects all of the "Status" field values. Please change this behavior back (assuming people haven't asked for it otherwise or there is some other valid reason not to).

Well I don't see the point, it's the default value apparently:

Search for bugs w/ apache in the Summary:

without any Status selected - 1244 bugs found
with all Status values selected - 1244 bugs found

I think your test is incorrect. The problem is that by default only the new, assigned, and reopened status fields are selected. If you search for apache in the summary with THAT list, you only get 54 bugs.

The point is that to have an accurate search one must either select all status flags, or none of them, but one must do something with the status flags.

Not here.

Ok, well I'm running Firefox 1.5.0.6. Java and Javascript are enabled. I have tried this with two different profiles, one which has most all of Firefox's settings kept at their defaults, and no plugins.

I have noticed that there are three error messages when you bring up the javascript console, but those do not look like they would affect this portion of the page.

I have also tried disabling javascript, to no affect. Do you have any other suggestions?

Moving open bugzilla bugs to the new bugzilla group (because I'm about to stab lots of these bugs).

the open bugs only is a sane default.
if you really want all bugs, it's only two mouse clicks.
