Description Dave 2006-06-11 14:02:35 UTC
media-libs/yiff-2.14.5 has a dependency of kmid, but kmid is blocked by kdemultimedia if it is installed.

This happens if the kde USE flag is set. Everything works fine if I set "-kde" for this package in /etc/portage/package.use
Comment 1 Francisco José Cañizares Santofimia 2006-07-10 17:06:00 UTC
Apart from that, when using kde, it won't compile because it doesn't find some things, so that needs to be solved also.

It fixes my installation problem but the ebuild gives me this warnings instead

c++ -c prochandle.cpp /usr/kde/3.5/include -O2 -march=pentium4 -mtune=pentium4 -mmmx -msse -msse2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -DHAVE_LIBKMID -DALSA_RUN_CONFORM -DOSS -DOSS_BUFFRAG -DYSHM_SUPPORT -D__USE_BSD -D__cplusplus -Dc_plusplus -fPIC
c++: /usr/kde/3.5/include: linker input file unused because linking not done

Comment 5 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-01 23:50:49 UTC
The dependency has been fixed. For the rest of problems, please open a new bug, because the attached patch is wrong.
