I vote yes In fact, I rather like the idea of assigning a specific budget for gentoo's hardware needs (with infra being something critical). And certainly, the amd64 team needs to be "refunded"
I vote to purchase one PSU. I don't think it's worth having a backup around.
I'm with Kurt with that we don't really need a backup around. I think its more important that infra has a budget for stuff like this. Anyways, that's a discussion for our list probably :-) I vote Aye for one PSU.
Just buy it, as we really need it. So, vote=yes.
Go right ahead. +1
I'm for it, assuming you can get a good enough PSU for $70.
Aye aye (yes)
+1
A majority vote has been reached now. Grant if you could please do your part as Acting Treasure/Commissioner of Finance so this order may complete. Thanks in advance.
just to be clear, we're only going to order 1 PSU. I'll shortly put together a request for funds so that we can maintain our services without resorting to filing a request each time something breaks.
Order placed w/ newegg; please close when received
the PSU has arrived and has been installed.
Lacking any solid records, I have estimated this expense at $75USD, taking place on 2006/06/21 (FY2006). This excludes any shipping costs, or other discounts.
