Description Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2006-06-11 12:06:16 UTC
Example: ufed shows for bzip2 a ( + ), but as seen in the output of "emerge --info" bzip2 is not set

(BTW the answer of bug #136380 and bug #136399 indicates that the man8 page should explain, that the 2nd char doesn't not only comes from /etc/make.profile/use.defaults file, instead the parent profile is used too)

n22 ~ # emerge --info

Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-11 12:09:27 UTC
# grep bzip2 `rlocate use.defaults`
/usr/portage/profiles/base/use.defaults:bzip2 app-arch/bzip2

Please, don't file any more bugs about this, you've apparently misunderstood the use.defaults thing. (It's no longer honored by default in portage-2.1, BTW).
Comment 2 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-11 12:22:31 UTC
And, BTW - ufed-0.40-r3 honors the new portage USE_ORDER defaults just fine.
