Comment 5 Marijn Schouten (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-12 13:51:15 UTC
sanchan, that happens on my system too. Don't know what it's doing, but it continued after a while. Give it 15 minutes or so :) I didn't notice any CPU or RAM activity. Maybe it is just waiting so that test results can be read.
Comment 6 Marijn Schouten (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-13 11:27:48 UTC
please test 1.6.8, Michal
Comment 7 Sandro Bonazzola (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-01-14 22:08:53 UTC
Thanks Marijn, I've tested 1.6.8 on ~amd64 and emerge fine here.

I think it's due to this:

# grep -R "sleep 999" test-suite/
test-suite/tests/popen.test: "exec 1>/dev/null; echo closed 1>&2; exec 2>/dev/null; sleep 999")))))
test-suite/tests/popen.test: "exec 0</dev/null; echo closed 1>&2; exec 2>/dev/null; sleep 999")))))
