Description Andrew Ross (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-09 16:28:47 UTC
The current stable version of dev-libs/beecrypt (3.1.0-r1) appends -O3 to the user-supplied CFLAGS during configure.

v4.1.2-r1 does not exhibit the same behaviour, but is currently marked unstable.

There is no metadata.xml for beecrypt and the changelog shows a range of devs committing minor fixes. I'm leaving this assigned to bug-wranglers initially, in case anyone wants to pick it up. Will reassign to maintainer-needed in a few days - unless someone beats me to it :-)

Portage 2.0.54-r2 (default-linux/x86/2006.0, gcc-3.4.6, glibc-2.3.6-r3, 2.6.16.18-xen i686)

i'd say there isnt much point in looking into this

4.1.2 has this fixed so dont waste time on working on 3.x anymore

Please add beecrypt-4.1.2-r1 to package.keywords. We are focusing on 4.1.2 and the upcoming 4.2 release.
