i've never heard of this...are you out of space or something? it takes quite
a bit of space to build this package...that _could_ be it...not sure though
Comment 5 Christoph Hornung 2003-01-10 15:22:14 UTC
I dont know. I have 1gb in swap and about 2gb in /
Could that be too few? And if so how much does one need?
Comment 6 Sander Balkenende 2003-01-10 17:10:57 UTC
I have _exactly_ the same error. I am not running out of space, I checked with
watch. Besides that, I assume 5GB is enough. I also get an error about not being
able to find the g++ include path. I use ccache.
Comment 7 Christoph Hornung 2003-01-11 01:53:27 UTC
It asked me for the g++ include path too. Seems like it could not find it by itself. Though with /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2.1/include/ I think I provided the right one.
Comment 8 Marc Doughty 2003-01-11 16:36:37 UTC
I am experiencing this as well on a brand-new gentoo_rc2 install (it's three
days old). Same eroor with g++ includes, and then on finding build dir. It's
building now and I have >2GB free on the drive. I'm currently trying a bunch of
'simple' fixes, but I'm not at all a professional here.
Comment 9 Seth Chandler 2003-01-11 18:12:09 UTC
alright well i don't know what the deal with the missing directory is....but
i'll see if i can reproduce it and work on it...

as i said before i have a couple of fixes i've already made (java and gxx stuff)
and it will be in portage soon...

Comment 10 Seth Chandler 2003-01-12 14:36:22 UTC
in about a couple of hours, please try openoffice 1.0.1-r3

you can do this by

#ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~<arch>" emerge openoffice

where <arch> is your respective architecture, x86, ppc, etc...

Keep in mind, the open office ebuild takes a ton of space, the build needs 2.1
gb, and to fully install it, it might take 4-5 free gigs of hard drive space...
Comment 11 Seth Chandler 2003-01-12 21:53:44 UTC
this is fixed in portage
