Hi!
Since 0.9.0 release candidate #4, the prefix "snd_" was removed.
For instance "snd_major" is now simply "major".
This is not adapted in http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/alsa-guide.xml

See also http://www.alsa-project.org/, the announce with date 2002-10-22

Also, /etc/modules.d/alsa is not completely adapted. 
Should I submit a second bug for the latter ?

This has been fixed for a while, aswell as in the doc as in Gentoo's /etc/modules.d/alsa

There is no "snd_" in /etc/modules.d/alsa or alsa-guide.xml any longer.
