Description Frédéric COIFFIER 2003-01-09 16:31:11 UTC
I'm using a Gentoo linux kernel 2.4.19 and I've a pb with my VIA VT6102 ethernet
board. It seems to be a bug in via-rhine < 1.1.15 (Gentoo = 1.1.14).
I have the pb described in this document :
http://216.239.37.100/search?q=cache:QrtTtoyN__gC:nervous.oltrelinux.com/hw/linux_aspire1300xv.html+via-rhine+VT6102+2.4.19+module+problem&hl=fr&ie=UTF-8
The most recent version is here :
http://www.scyld.com/network/ethercard.html

Maybe, the gentoo kernel should be patched to resolve this pb. I'm going to try
this patch.

uhh... can you test this in the latest lolo-sources, they are 2.4.20 based and I
think this is probably fixed. If I'm wrong, unfix this.
Comment 2 Frédéric COIFFIER 2003-01-09 17:09:05 UTC
I'm sorry : I cannot try with 2.4.20 immediately because I've a slow connection
and I cannot dowload the kernel (28Mo with a 56k).
But, the patch correct my problem with the 2.4.19
