Hi here is the klinpopup ebuild, my first little contribution to the Gentoo community. KLinPopup is a program like Linpopup, or KPopup to receive and send Windows popup messages (Winpopup or "net send") with Unix/Linux, using Samba. You should be able to receive/send messages from/to OSs where Samba is running on (e.g. BSDs, Linux, OSX) and of course Windows 2000/XP. For Windows 95/ME you need an additional Winpopup program. It seems to be better than Linpopup or KPopup and being heavily based on the last one I suggest to put it in net-im/klinpopup. I used and the same kpopup ebuild, slightly modifying it. I'm also the italian translator, I know the author would be happy to see his program in the portage tree but he doesn't know much about the Gentoo world (what a pity). Can I be the package mantainer? I am also the Italian translator so I have to keep the software updated, it would be nice to keep also the ebuild up to date.
Daniele, you could be the maintainer of this in an overlay. I suggest you go to http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/sunrise/ and especially read the Sunrise FAQ you'll find there. Then join #gentoo-sunrise on Freenode and talk to the people there about this bug. Please let us know if this gets into the Sunrise overlay. Keeping this bug open for now.
KDE3-only, no KDE4 version available. KDE3 will be removed from tree soon, closing as WONTFIX.
