My first bug report, so dont hit me: kde-base/akregator from kde-meta has a dependency on metakit. It compiles fine without it, but isn't that usable (the feed-archive-function that is essential does not work). As far as i could investigate this is in all three versions currently in portage * akregator-3.4.3.ebuild * akregator-3.5.2.ebuild * akregator-3.5.3.ebuild I dont think adding a USE-flag is the way to go, since a feed reader without archive doesn't make any sense (at least to me). I didn't check the monolithic builds, but this might be there too.
emerge metakit emerge libkcal emerge kdelibs emerge akregator (not sure about libkcal, saw something on another site about it)
It comes with its own copy of metakit and the storage plugin installs just fine here. What do you mean with "does not work"?
Same here, akregator complains about missing metakit on startup. (ebuild akregator-3.5.5)
Once again, metakit is included in the Akregator sources, built with it and loads just fine here. When this is not the case for you, then provide some usefull error message please.
