I was just thinking even though 1.4 will be bigger and better people may appreciate the choice of installing Gentoo from DVD. I know I would find this a great option. I got 1.000+ GB of source already accumulated on my network (/usr/portage/distfiles/*). I'd have the interest of taking some base set of the install code, combine this with the packages and jigdo a DVD install image. This install recognizes the additional packages I have contributed to the image making a full blown Gentoo Linux install possible right from the get go without network connectivity. And since it is jigdo one could easily update the DVD image over time and always have an up-to-date Gentoo Install DVD with the latest dependencies and packages. Maybe the jigdo would somehow be interconnected/dependent with the latest emerge rsync table one uses. Just an idea.... Marcel

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
