Hi;

Youve still got gcc-2.95.3-r8 masked in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask
But you have it pegged as the only gcc in ....profiles/default-1.0/packages
(*=sys-devel/gcc-2.95.3-r8)
This makes emerge choke as it cant satisfy gcc dependancy.
!!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "sys-devel/gcc" have been masked.
!!!    (dependency required by "sys-libs/pam-0.75-r11" [ebuild])
