Description Teesid Korsrilabutr 2006-06-03 07:45:19 UTC
I emerged xpdf-3.01-r8 with linguas_th use flag and get the error message
"Error: Couldn't open 'nameToUnicode' file '/usr/share/xpdf/thai/Thai.nameToUnicode'"
from the console after starting xpdf.

The ebuild does not doins Thai.nameToUnicode, which is in xpdf-thai-2002-jan-16.tar.gz.

The following is my $(emerge --info)

Comment 1 Stefan Schweizer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-03 14:56:48 UTC
is thai linguas support really needed for you to display fonts correctly?

I fixed this in the ebuild, thanks. Still interested in the above question :)

No, those files in /usr/share/xpdf/thai/ are not needed in order to display
thai PDFs.
I guess it may be needed in order to extract texts from thai PDFs, but I get no thai text after trying pdftotext and pdftohtml with thai PDFs anyway :(
