networkstatus header files and the libkdeinit_knetworkmanager.la library do not get copied to their approriate locations when you install kde-base/networkstatus.
Were exactly do you expect them to be installed? For what I can see the file gets installed in the same place that kdepim installs it. kde-base/kdepim-3.5.2-r2 (/usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/kded_networkstatus.la) ./ ./usr/ ./usr/kde/ ./usr/kde/3.5/ ./usr/kde/3.5/bin/ ./usr/kde/3.5/bin/networkstatustestservice ./usr/kde/3.5/lib/ ./usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/ ./usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/kded_networkstatus.la ./usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/kded_networkstatus.so ./usr/kde/3.5/share/ ./usr/kde/3.5/share/services/ ./usr/kde/3.5/share/services/kded/ ./usr/kde/3.5/share/services/kded/networkstatus.desktop ./usr/share/ ./usr/share/doc/ ./usr/share/doc/networkstatus-3.5.2/ ./usr/share/doc/networkstatus-3.5.2/README.gz
Created attachment 88264 [details, diff] libkdepim patch
Created attachment 88265 [details, diff] networkstatus patch
the two patches included ensure network status builds the bits and pieces needed to compile and install knetworkmanager the patches were obtained from here: http://developer.kde.org/%7Ebinner/distributor-patches/SUSE/10.1/kdepim3-3.5.1-39/
doesn't harm to include in my patch set
