ackbar depends strictly on activerecord 1.13.2 (which no longer supported by gentoo). I contacted its author. He told me that the current ackbar won't work with newer activerecord releases. He does not plan to update ackbar anytime soon. So, I'd like to close this bug as WONTFIX till there is a new release of ackbar.
