stage1-x86-1.4_pre20030107.tar.bz2 appears to be severely broken, aside from /etc/make.profile being linked to default-1.0 profile there is also no editor lambda / # nano bash: nano: command not found lambda / # vim bash: vim: command not found lambda / # vi bash: vi: command not found lambda / # ed bash: ed: command not found lambda / # joe bash: joe: command not found lambda / # pico bash: pico: command not found i'm not sure if that is the only thing wrong with it, since i can't edit my make.conf to start a bootstrap i can't verify this stage.
