My first bug [assuming it is a bug and not me]

emerge wishes to upgrade glibc however when the emerge is started it proceeds for a time then simply ends [at the >>> md5 src_uri ;-) glibc-fedora-20041219T2331.tar.bz2 point] no exit code or complaint or reference in the log, it just stops and falls back to a prompt.

It occurs every time at same point and has done for last week I update daily so it has occured across compiler upgrade and the key I think is the recent profile upgrade the nptl USE flag.

Your system is pretty screwed up, fix the above.
