Description James M Leddy 2006-05-26 11:36:51 UTC
I can't get xorg-server to merge. The first strange thing is this:

>>> checking 1.0.2-overlay-window.patch.bz2 ;-)
 * Forcing on xorg-x11 for new enough glxtokens.h...
!!! Error: Unrecognized option: xorg-x11

Then it fails with:

checking whether to build Xdmx DDX... checking for DMXMODULES... yes
configure: error: Xdmx build explicitly requested, but required
                              modules not found.

!!! Please attach the following file when filing a report to bugs.gentoo.org:
!!! /var/tmp/portage/xorg-server-1.0.2-r4/work/xorg-server-1.0.2/config.log

!!! ERROR: x11-base/xorg-server-1.0.2-r4 failed.

  ebuild.sh, line 533:   Called die

!!! econf failed

the thing I find most curious about this is that it says yes after checking for DMX modules.

No package 'xrender' found

Do you have libXrender installed? What's in /usr/lib/pkgconfig/xrender.pc?
Comment 3 James M Leddy 2006-06-02 08:52:41 UTC
I must have accidentally manually deleted some stuff, because an emerge -e1 org-x11 worked.
