Description Anton Bolshakov 2006-05-25 07:45:41 UTC
I would like to create the copy of the bug:
http://ati.cchtml.com/show_bug.cgi?id=248
because I'm not sure which place is the best for it.
It might help to put more attention on this specific (ATI 9600 M10?) problem.

Video Card: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10]
Notebook: IBM ThinkPad T42
ati-drivers-8.25.18

My problem is that the display is flickering with version 8.16 and up. Version
8.14 did not show any flickering. I guess the reason is that the driver
ignores the modelines and uses its own ones which are not that good.

This bug doesn't allow me to use the driver on my laptop.

file a bug upstream. you could enable #Option "NoDDC" in xorg.conf for testing first tho.
