lyx-1.4.1-r1 compiled with gtk USE, has this error: open a new document, and select a layout for the current line, the standard layout will not be changed (just displayed). And I quote the ewarn in the 1.4.1 ebuild: "GTK support for lyx is currently not feature complete. Don't report any bugs about missing or faulty features to gentoo, instead you have the option of turning GTK support off by removing the gtk use flag or enable the gt use flag (or help implement the missing features at lyx.org)"
