Evince 0.5.3 can't open cbr/cbz files. This bug has been fixed in cvs, see Gnome bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342785

The attached patch fix this problem.

Sorry for the delay.  This is fixed in 0.5.3-r1.
