almost as if every second pixel line were missing from the image. poppler 0.5.1 renders just fine. (acroread also renders just fine.) reverting back to 0.5.1 fixes the problem. ghostscript-afpl is at 8.53-r5 on my system. upstream is working on releasing a 0.5.3 version to fix this issue, please downgrade in the time being, thanks!
*** Bug 134178 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Today
Todays poppler cvs works again, w/o even having to run revdep-rebuild.
This package should be masked or removed completely: it isn't just occasional poor rendering - what text is visible is almost unreadable, text on the RHS is completely missing and I haven't found a pdf yet that isn't affected.
Confirmed... 0.5.2 is worthless, should be masked
I masked 0.5.2, they are apparently slow in releasing new versiojns upstream :(
Seems like you masked 0.5.3? That version works fine for me.
Sorry, my bad. It's version 0.5.3 of evince which has been masked...
this will be fixed in 0.5.3 after unmasking
