Hi. 

Streamtuner is a stream directory browser. It will connect to a source (probably
a web server) and retrieve the list of available audio streams.

A doubleclick  to the stream will open it in your favorite audio player.

It has a good looking GTK+ interface, a multi-threaded design and a plugin
system. It comes with the SHOUTcast plugin.

Also (optional and not in this ebuild) there will be plugins for Live365 streams
and local files.

I suggest net-misc/streamtuner in portage tree as the right place.

streamtuner depends on >= gtk+-2.0.0 and >=curl-7.7.0
