It would follow logically that these programs should have some ebuild: The bahamut IRC daemon The bucktooth gopher server The UMN gopher server PyGopherD The latter three are seemingly available at http://gopherproject.org/Software/Gopher/Downloads/Servers.
It would follow logically that, as these programs are not available through portage, that you write some ebuilds for them and attach them to this bug, then bribe a gentoo dev to maintain it. Failing this course of action it follows logically that these applications will not be available.
