Just some food for thought- when the installer fails, it would be great if a button appeared that said "send bug report" It would send install logs, a copy of the install profile (minus usernames, password hashes, and other potentially sensitive data). make sure it sends reports to a non-critical email address. Yes, this may provide way too much useless data, but it will also give us an idea who many installs are failing, and what common threads relate them.
This has been discussed before. We decided that a "phone home" feature was not in the cards.
