I'm not sure if this is really a bug, thus I set "devs only". Please make it public if you think that it is a bug. Well, for a week I can not use dosbox-0.63 satisfactorily since when it's running - even only showing the dos command line - the X server consumes above 70% of my CPU power. I attached an image containing screenshots to picture the difference. I reemerged dosbox-0.63 -> no effect. I can't emerge dosbox-0.65 because of bug #128435. X works fine with other applications and I have no (EE)s in the log file. I didn't come across a similar behaviour regarding other applications. Please don't restrict bugs without any reason...
um ... I thought I did it for a reason: > I'm not sure if this is really a bug, thus I set "devs only". Please make > it public if you think that it is a bug.
s/any/a good/ Attach your ~/.dosboxrc file as text/plain please. So far, it seems like another amd64-only thing. Works fine on x86.
hum, I haven't got such a file... atti@magic ~ $ ls -al ~/.dosboxrc ls: /home/atti/.dosboxrc: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden atti@magic ~ $ magic atti # date Fr Mai 19 00:16:36 CEST 2006 magic atti # locate / -u magic atti # locate ".dosboxrc" magic atti # Do I need such a file?
At last I found a workaround for successfully emerging dosbox-0.65 (see bug #128435). Therewith the problem I described in this bug report disappeared. Should I give this bug a different state now ... like "wontfix? By the way, I still do not have a ~/.dosboxrc and it looks like this no problem. Is it?
only if you want non-default behavior.
