Description Paul de Vries 2006-05-17 00:55:24 UTC
The x11-plugins/gkrellmbups-2.0.2 ebuild in portage does not support the nut (network ups tool monitor) use flag. I have made an ebuild that does.

Paul: You should RDEPEND on nut when USE=nut.

fixed the dependency to RDEPEND

Is this ever going into portage tree?

PS: I notice that the RDEPEND is still wrong. Can the maintainer please correct and put it tree (even if hard masked)?

ebuild with working RDEPEND

I am not an ebuild expert but, looking to some other ebuild, I figured out how to get the nut dependency correct (I am unable if it depends on a specific version - and there is no information on the gkrellmbups homepage - hence no version is specified)

I did not succeed to get the plugin working. No connection with the UPS. No idea why.

Your latest ebuild looks pretty good. I just cleaned it up slightly and checked it into the tree. (2.0.2-r1)

I have no UPS to test with, so I have no idea if this actually works, but it builds and doesn't crash gkrellm, which is the best I can do.
