I run on AMD64, I want to install dev-db/mysql-query-browser, I can't according to: # grep KEYWORDS /usr/portage/dev-db/mysql-query-browser/* /usr/portage/dev-db/mysql-query-browser/mysql-query-browser-1.1.18.ebuild:KEYWORDS="~x86 ~ppc" After adding this to /etc/portage/package.keywords (which is not recommended): dev-db/mysql-query-browser ~x86 I could emerge it and it works very fine; additionally,mysql.com provides binaries for amd64 so it's supported for this platform.Please add the keyword; and, unless there are reasons against (i.e., I guess, open bugs against it), move it to stable.

I will also pitch in a piece of anecdotal evidence: it compiles flawlessly and works great on my amd64 system as well. I would support at least moving to ~amd64. (I'm new here, I have no clue if this is a democracy or not ;-)
As would I. I have just build mysql-query-browser with only a dependancy issue with esound. I was getting linking failures with libesd but once I emerged esound it compiled cleanly. As a matter of fact ive discovered that query-browser is more stable than administrator. :)
