Description Lindsay Haisley 2006-05-15 16:36:11 UTC
When trying to compose an email in evolution 2.4, the entire program crashes when the end of a line is reached and the editor should wrap to the next line. The message which is emitted at this point is:

*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x08641e90 ***

or

*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (out): 0x0865b228 ***

Evolution was working OK a few days ago. I've I've used gcc-config to move to gcc-3.4.5. I'm trying to rebuild various base components thinking that these may be implicated, but I've had no trouble with other software on the system.

Evolution crashes at other points as well, when trying to display some emails. Often with a "multiple segfaults" message. No other error output is available.

please upgrade to evolution-2.6 ( just marked stable with GNOME 2.14 ) and re-open the bug if you can still reproduce it.
