You can find aac test streams on shoutcast.com, for example do a search for "etn".
Comment 1 t35t0r 2006-05-13 11:32:11 UTC
For example the following aac stream: http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/shoutcast-playlist.pls?rn=123&file=filename.pls (ETN aac stream) works fine in mplayer and vlc.
Comment 2 William Pitcock 2006-05-13 11:37:31 UTC
Hi! Upstream here!

We don't have nor have ever claimed to support AAC streaming. User error.
Comment 3 t35t0r 2006-05-13 11:41:44 UTC
audacious devs are jerks, i got kicked from their channel for asking why it doesn't work and requesting the functionality. It probably won't happen anytime soon.
Comment 4 t35t0r 2006-05-14 10:47:36 UTC
it won't play aac files either.

You saved a stream to a file, as said before, Audacious does not support AAC streams as of yet. Report your bug upstream, as this is not caused by the way Gentoo packages audacious.
