Description smrspam88 2006-05-13 05:54:59 UTC
Although embrace-9999 is a CVS-version this problem still obviously is not due to unstableness of embrace, since embrace compiles fine with LDFLAGS="" as well as LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1 -Wl,--sort-common". But when I try to build it with LDFLAGS="-Wl,-O1 -Wl,--sort-common, -Wl,--as-needed" or LDFLAGS="-Wl,--as-needed", it fails with the following error:

I found this strange, as it is clearly linked to edb (see ...-L/usr/X11R6/lib /usr/lib/libedb.so /usr/lib/libedje.so...).

By the way, edb was compiled with --as-needed too. I didn't try binutils 2.16.92, though.

Thanks, but we are not fixing live cvs ebuilds. Please, report this bug upstream if you can reproduce this w/ binutils-2.16.92, preferably accompanied w/ a patch ;).
