Both the device nodes and the modules for installing gentoo linux on software
raid are not present. It works tho if you compile the modules on a different
machine (same kernel sources as the LiveCD ofc) and insmod em + mknod the device
nodes manually (mknod /dev/md0 b 9 0, etc.). Please create the /dev/md? nodes
and the modules md, linear, raid0, raid1 and raid5 on the final version of the
cd. TIA

The software raid modules conflict with evms. To fix this, I'll need to make
evms modular so that the user can choose which one he or she wants to use. This
will require some work, but I can do it.

OK, the latest experimental livecd (Jan 13 2003) fixes this and evms is now
modularized. md modules are now present. Thanks for the bug report.
