As mentioned in the URL above (blog mcummings) there should be a block but I keep switching between versions 0.54 and 0.62 of Test-Simple every emerge. A blocker would have brought to light, that I would have to unmerge Test-Builder-Tester (or Test-Simple). --------------- New perl-core/Test-Simple in the tree. This is only worth mentioning because it introduces a block against test-builder-tester. A little background (since I had an irate user file a bug on it) - both modules have the same author. Said author seperated them out at one time, thinking it would be easier to maintain, but has since come to the conclusion that they would be better served together since they are too dependant on their relative versions. So…Test-Simple-0.62 blocks if you have test-builder-tester installed (unmerge it kids); I’ve updated all of the deps I could find that listed test-builder-tester with an or clause of either test-simple-0.62 or less than 0.62 and builder. ----------------
Are you mixing ~arch keywords in any way? Because there is a block between the two already in the tree.
I had Test-Builder-Tester and Test-Simple installed...when Test-Simple 0.62 has been marked stable, it was upgraded. The next `emerge world` run Test-Builder-Tester wanted to downgrade to Test-Simple 0.5x (because of its dependency)...this looped. Unmerging Test-Builder-Tester helped, but I had to look around a bit to find this out, because not one of the packages told me that it interfered with the other one. Am I missing something, because I don't see any blocker between the latest versions of Test-Simple and Test-Builder-Tester?
Test-Builder-Tester was removed from the tree; closing.
