don't assign bugs if you don't know where they should go.
which version of banshee ?
(In reply to comment #2) > which version of banshee ? > Any recent versions. I haven't tried going back to a much older version, but the 0.10.xx series crashes as well as a svn ebuild I created.
ok if you have the same problem using the cvs version i recomend you to report a bug to upstream.
(In reply to comment #4) > ok if you have the same problem using the cvs version i recomend you to report > a bug to upstream. > I did (link in URL field), but they think it's a Gentoo bug.
Also, it is replicable on both my laptop and desktop, so either it's a bug with the way Gentoo configures lame and possibly one or more other packages or it is upstream.
Ok kevin please point me the bug you reported on upstream yes it could be our lame fault.

Kevin i looked at the bug you reported to upstream and thank you for doing that. I'm not sure what we can do here. Did you tried older versions of lame ?
any news here ?
(In reply to comment #9) > Kevin i looked at the bug you reported to upstream and thank you for doing > that. I'm not sure what we can do here. Did you tried older versions of lame ? > Yes, I tried previous versions without any success. I've just given up on using lame in it now.
sorry to ask again but we have a new version that has mp3rtp disabled by default that was broken in the last versions so i suspect that lame now isn't broken. Can you test with it please ?
(In reply to comment #12) > sorry to ask again but we have a new version that has mp3rtp disabled by > default that was broken in the last versions so i suspect that lame now isn't > broken. Can you test with it please ? > Yeah, that seemed to work. I guess it was the broken mp3rtp.
reopening
close marked as fixed since we had a broken lame.
