don't assign bugs if you don't know where they should go.
Comment 2 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-10 05:23:21 UTC
which version of banshee ?

Any recent versions. I haven't tried going back to a much older version, but the 0.10.xx series crashes as well as a svn ebuild I created.
Comment 4 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-11 17:02:28 UTC
ok if you have the same problem using the cvs version i recomend you to report a bug to upstream.

I did (link in URL field), but they think it's a Gentoo bug.
Comment 6 Kevin Jordan 2006-06-11 21:34:43 UTC
Also, it is replicable on both my laptop and desktop, so either it's a bug with the way Gentoo configures lame and possibly one or more other packages or it is upstream.
Comment 7 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-28 14:35:17 UTC
Ok kevin please point me the bug you reported on upstream yes it could be our lame fault.

Comment 9 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-01 19:50:46 UTC
Kevin i looked at the bug you reported to upstream and thank you for doing that. I'm not sure what we can do here. Did you tried older versions of lame ?
Comment 10 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-29 10:35:40 UTC
any news here ?

>

Yes, I tried previous versions without any success. I've just given up on using lame in it now.
Comment 12 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-11 18:20:38 UTC
sorry to ask again but we have a new version that has mp3rtp disabled by default that was broken in the last versions so i suspect that lame now isn't broken. Can you test with it please ?

Yeah, that seemed to work. I guess it was the broken mp3rtp.

Comment 15 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-12 10:06:24 UTC
close marked as fixed since we had a broken lame.
