I only have a couple MP3s but when banshee-0.10.9-r1 tries to play them it crashes the whole system. It displays a message box titled "Playback Error". The content of the message box is empty. If I hit ctrl+alt+bksp right away X will exit, but if I wait too long the system becomes totally unresponsive.
emerge --info, please...
Ok here it is and I should mention that the MP3s were downloaded and my self-acquired FLAC files play fine. yes that's an known upstream bug. Can you try with 0.10.10 i commited to portage ? I didn't had time to test it against that.
I upgraded and now when I try to play one of those MP3s the same message box comes up but it doesn't crash the system in any way and contains the message "Resource not found". Clicking the OK button clears the message box. Any idea how to fix that error? When I first installed banshee it played these MP3s just fine. Also, the three playback buttons are super small when I open the program. After playing a song everything looks perfect. Is that a known upstream bug?
not that i know but will look at it. Can you please remove your ~/.gnome2/banshee and restart again ? If that doesn't work me or you will file a bug to upstream.
Yes, that fixed it. Thank you very much. I love banshee by the way.
