There is yet another TV application. From a description: KatchTV is an "Internet TV" application for KDE. It makes it easy to subscribe to "TV" channels from all over the internet in the form of podcasts, so that you can browse channels, download shows, and watch them, all from one convenient interface. There is also support of Democracy tv channels. The ebuild would be appreciated
You said it... "Yet Another". Something else probably does the similar feature set. There's lots of other KDE apps out there that do this... it's another NIH "Not invented here" application. Due to the current demand and load on the media-tv herd, it's doubtful you'll ever see an ebuild for this written by anyone. Even if you do write one yourself, it probably won't make it into Portage. that means someone has to have interest to use it and maintain it. So either write an ebuild for yourself and keep it as a local ebuild on yours system or become "yet another" Gentoo developer and help us all out.
Let's wait until it'll become something bigger and someone deside to mantain it.
