Description charlie13 2006-05-04 09:18:38 UTC
the current ebuild for xfce-base/orage-4.3.90.1 has gnome-extra/evolution-data-server as a dependency. i tried compiling the upstream tarball as well as removing the dependency from the ebuild, both worked fine. i just wondered why a "lightweight" calendar might need a 14mb download as a dep. thanks, charlie

dostrow: *ping*

I couldn't find reason for this dependency in installation, using or browsing thru files in tarball, including configure.ac.

gnome-extra/evolution-data-server

Thanks, drac

I can confirm this, there seems to be no reason for orage depending on evolution-data-server.

I added the eds USE flag to orage and if I'm not satisfied with why it is a dep I will remove it. Thanks for the bug I'm closing.

See bug 135901 , you missed to add IUSE="eds" to orage ebuild. Anyway, methinks you shouldn't not only add it.. but to remove whole eds USE flag enterily.
