Here an ebuild I made from a patch found on the net, thanks to the people in #audacious and the guy who made the patch even if I don't understand him, which re-add supports for crossfade output plugin in audacious 1.0.0.

Erm, you know... Most of us don't speak much Japanese. Sorry, I can't find the patch. Anyway, if the patch has 1.2M then it's definitely not anything we would like to maintain, please ask upstream to include it.
Woo, a moment, the patch, the dependencie, and comments in the code are all english, in the ebuild the URL to the patch is included ( http://www.cc.rim.or.jp/~yaz/audacious-1.0.0_yaz.diff.gz ), the whole thing works perfectly and anyway authors from audacious were thinking about contacting that guy to know if he would like to be one of the developper for the project so it will probably be maintained by audacious devs themselves later but meanwhile the patch is really useful. And I'd like to ask, what do you mean by upstream ?
