summary says it pretty much all. either automatically select a default or die if none is set, please.

Yes, there should at least be a warning that MSN won't be usable although the USE flag has been set. How it is now, everything seems to work, but bitlbee will fail to connect to MSN and it's a PITA to find out why.

this seems to be fixed in newer versions

Oh... yes, I remember having seen that it's fixed, but forgot about this bug.
